Kiss Open-Back Wrap Dress

A one-off open-back wrap dress created through cotton and monofilament construction, designed and made in England by Alina Stanila.
The dress combines a close-fitting silhouette with a graphic all-over composition of repeated lip-inspired forms. Contrasting cotton sections create bold colour and structure, while monofilament introduces areas of lightness and transparency throughout the garment.
The silhouette follows the body closely before falling into an asymmetric hem, creating a wrap-style effect that gives the piece movement and a slightly fluid finish.
An open back introduces contrast to the fitted front, revealing the body and reinforcing the lighter, more intimate quality of the design.
The dress is finished with a halter-style neckline and is individually assembled and hand finished.

Kiss explores repetition, transparency and playful surface through a close-fitting wrap silhouette. Developed through contrasting cotton sections and monofilament openings, the dress creates a graphic composition in which repeating lip-shaped forms become part of the construction itself.
The fitted body is balanced by an asymmetric wrap-style line and an open back, giving the piece a lighter, more fluid character while preserving the sculptural quality of the textile construction. The result is a one-off archive design that feels expressive, body-conscious and visually distinctive.
