This statement is intended to provide context for environmental, sustainability, circularity, sourcing and ethical-practice information communicated by Mystic Moods.
It applies to relevant statements made through our Site, App, product descriptions, marketing materials and other customer communications.
We aim to ensure that environmental and sustainability claims are clear, accurate, appropriately qualified and supported by information reasonably available to us.
Our approach takes account of applicable UK consumer-protection and advertising requirements, including the Competition and Markets Authority's Green Claims Code and relevant advertising standards.

Mystic Moods is an independent fashion business focused on considered design, small-scale production, product longevity and reducing unnecessary waste where reasonably possible.
Our approach may include:

Designing products with continued use and longevity in mind;

Where Mystic Moods makes an environmental or sustainability-related claim, the claim should be understood according to its stated scope and the particular product, material, process or activity to which it relates.
We do not intend terms relating to sustainability, circularity or responsible practice to suggest that a product or business activity has no environmental impact.
Broad or absolute environmental claims require a high level of substantiation. Where the available information supports only a particular feature or stage of a product's lifecycle, we aim to describe that specific feature rather than imply a wider environmental benefit.
Environmental information should therefore be read together with any qualifications, material information, product details or explanations provided alongside the relevant claim.
Materials
Mystic Moods uses a range of materials depending on the design and product.
These may include deadstock, surplus, reclaimed materials and selected new materials where appropriate.
Where we describe a material as “deadstock”, “surplus”, “reclaimed” or by another specific sourcing term, the description relates to the information available to us concerning that particular material.
The use of one particular material or sourcing approach does not mean that every component of a product has the same origin or environmental characteristics.
Material Traceability
The level of traceability available can vary between materials, components and suppliers.
Some deadstock, surplus or reclaimed materials may have limited historic documentation compared with newly manufactured materials.
Where material composition, origin, certification or manufacturing information is provided to us by a supplier, we may use that information where it is reasonable to do so. Where an objective environmental claim depends on third-party information, we aim to obtain appropriate information or evidence proportionate to the claim being made.
We do not claim independent verification, certification or traceability beyond the information and evidence actually available to us.
Certifications and Standards
Mystic Moods does not represent that the company, a product, material, supplier or manufacturing process holds a certification or meets a particular external standard unless that claim specifically applies and we have an appropriate basis for stating it.
Where a certification is referred to, it applies only to the product, material, supplier or process to which that certification relates.
A certification applying to one component or material should not be understood as certification of an entire product or the Mystic Moods business unless expressly stated.
Production
Mystic Moods operates through small-scale and demand-led production, including limited production runs and selected made-to-order products.
Production methods can vary according to the particular product.
Where a product is described as designed, made or produced in England, that statement relates to the particular design or manufacturing activity described.

References to circularity therefore do not mean that every Mystic Moods product can be repaired, reused or recycled indefinitely.

Mystic Moods App
The Mystic Moods App is intended to provide access to information that may include product provenance, product details, care guidance and lifecycle guidance.
The type and level of information available may vary between products according to the information available to Mystic Moods.
The App may also provide guidance concerning possible lifecycle pathways such as care, repair guidance, resale, donation, reuse or recycling.
References to a particular lifecycle pathway do not guarantee that a specific third-party service, resale opportunity, repair option, donation route or recycling facility will always be available or suitable.
Packaging
We aim to consider material use and waste when selecting packaging and may use recyclable, reusable or reduced packaging where suitable and available.
Packaging materials and formats may change according to product requirements, supplier availability, transportation needs and other operational considerations.
Where packaging is described as recyclable, actual recyclability may depend on local collection facilities and recycling systems.

Mystic Moods aims to conduct its business responsibly and does not knowingly support forced labour, child labour, human trafficking or unlawful employment practices.
