Mystic Moods Ltd – Studio Code of Conduct

(This Code forms part of Mystic Moods Ltd’s Terms & Conditions.)
1. Purpose & Scope
1.1 This Studio Code of Conduct (“Code”) sets out the standards of behaviour, safety and respect required at all Mystic Moods Ltd locations (the “Studio”), at pop-ups, events, and At-Home/On-Site Appointments.
1.2 This Code supplements and forms part of our Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”). Where there is any conflict, the T&Cs prevail. See especially:

2. Respectful Environment & Zero Tolerance
2.1 Mystic Moods is an inclusive, professional and respectful space. We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, bullying, hate speech or abusive conduct towards staff, clients or visitors.
2.2 Prohibited behaviour includes, without limitation: threatening language, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, discriminatory remarks (e.g., race, gender, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation), sexual harassment, or stalking.
2.3 Breaches may result in immediate removal, appointment termination, refusal of future service, and/or reporting to authorities where appropriate.
3. Health, Safety & Hygiene
3.1 Follow staff guidance during fittings to ensure safety (e.g., standing on platforms, keeping still for pins/marking).
3.2 Do not touch equipment, machinery, or restricted areas without authorisation.
3.3 If you feel unwell, dizzy or uncomfortable, inform staff immediately.
3.4 Mystic Moods maintains public/product liability and professional indemnity insurance (see T&Cs section 21.4).
3.5 We may reschedule or cancel appointments for safety or unforeseen events (see T&Cs section 23, Force Majeure).
3.6 For safety, drinks and food are not permitted in fitting areas or near equipment unless expressly authorised.
4. Accessibility & Reasonable Adjustments
4.1 Mystic Moods will make reasonable adjustments for disability, pregnancy or neurodiversity where practicable.
4.2 If you need adjustments (e.g., step-free access, quiet space, longer fittings), email customercare@mysticmoods.co.uk before your appointment.
4.3 We will confirm agreed adjustments by email before your appointment.
5. Safeguarding & Minors
5.1 Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Measurements, fittings or photography for minors require the supervising adult’s consent.
5.2 Accessories and handbags are not toys; children must not handle them (see T&Cs section 8A.4).
6. Drugs, Alcohol, Smoking & Animals
6.1 Possession or use of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited.
6.2 Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Studio.
6.3 Only assistance animals are permitted indoors; please notify us in advance.
6.4 Assistance animals are welcome; we may ask where to position them safely during fittings.
7. Appointments, Punctuality & Cancellations
7.1 Please arrive on time. Sessions may be shortened if you are late to avoid delaying subsequent clients.
7.2 At-Home/On-Site visits require safe access, lighting and a clear space (see T&Cs section 16.4).
7.3 Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in forfeiture of call-out fees or deposits as set out in booking confirmations and the T&Cs.
8. Deposits, Payments & Pricing
8.1 Deposits may be required to secure dates, fabrics or bespoke design work. Deposits are typically non-refundable, as confirmed in your booking email or invoice (see T&Cs section 16.2).
8.2 Prices, payment timing and accepted methods are governed by T&Cs section 5.
9. Fittings, Alterations & Garment Care
9.1 Multiple fittings may be required for Made-To-Order or Bespoke pieces.
9.2 Changes requested after sign-off may incur additional charges or extend production timelines.
9.3 We may decline alteration requests that are unsafe, technically unfeasible, or materially compromise garment integrity.
9.4 Follow garment care labels and guidance. Damage caused by contrary care is not covered.
10. Personal Property
10.1 Please keep valuables with you. Mystic Moods is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought to the Studio or present during At-Home/On-Site visits, except where caused by our negligence.
11. Allergies & Sensitivities
11.1 Some materials (e.g., metals, adhesives, textiles, fragrances) may trigger allergic reactions. Please inform us in advance of any known sensitivities.
11.2 Mystic Moods is not liable for allergic reactions or skin sensitivities arising from wear or misuse (see T&Cs sections 8A.3 and 21).
11.3 Patch-testing or material sampling can be arranged upon request before wear.
12. Photography, Recordings & Privacy (GDPR)
12.1 Client Photography/Recording: Please ask permission before photographing or recording in the Studio. No filming of other clients or restricted areas.
12.2 Our Photography: We may request consent to take measurement photos or process images for patterning or portfolio purposes. This is optional and requires your explicit consent (see T&Cs sections 16.5 and 19).
12.3 CCTV (if used): Installed for safety and security only, with prominent signage. Footage is retained for a limited period and disclosed only where lawful.

13. Intellectual Property & Anti-Copying
13.1 All designs, sketches, samples, digital patterns, tech packs, imagery and creative know-how are the intellectual property of Mystic Moods Ltd (see T&Cs section 28).
13.2 Copying, reverse-engineering, scanning, digitising, or using Studio content or imagery to train AI models without written consent is prohibited.
14. Sustainability & Materials Transparency
14.1 Mystic Moods uses a mix of deadstock, surplus, natural, regenerated and synthetic materials (including polyester).
14.2 The absence of a specific fibre listing does not create liability or imply a sustainability claim (see T&Cs sections 7 and 7A).
15. Conduct During At-Home/On-Site Appointments
15.1 Provide a safe working area free from hazards, pets and obstructions, with adequate lighting and ventilation.
15.2 We may decline or halt a visit if the environment is unsafe, abusive, or not reasonably workable. Call-out fees may still apply (see T&Cs section 16.4).
15.3 Please secure pets in a separate room during measurements to avoid hazards.
16. Social Media, Credits & User-Generated Content (UGC)
16.1 We love to repost client photos with permission. If you tag us, you grant Mystic Moods a non-exclusive licence to share or feature your content, subject to removal on request (see T&Cs section 28).
16.2 Please avoid misleading claims about sustainability or composition when posting about your piece.
16.3 Please credit “Mystic Moods” when posting commissioned work.
17. Complaints & Feedback
17.1 If something isn’t right, tell us promptly so we can help.
17.2 Formal Complaints: Email customercare@mysticmoods.co.uk with your order or appointment details and a clear description. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to resolve within 14 business days, in line with T&Cs section 33.
18. Breaches & Sanctions
18.1 Breaches of this Code may result in verbal or written warnings, immediate appointment termination, removal from premises, cancellation of future bookings, or lawful service bans.
18.2 Criminal conduct may be reported to authorities.
19. Liability & Insurance
19.1 See T&Cs sections 21 and 21.4 for liability limits and insurance disclosures.
19.2 Nothing in this Code limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory laws.
20. Changes to this Code
20.1 We may update this Code periodically. The version published on our website supersedes previous versions.
21. Governing Law & Disputes
21.1 This Code is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
21.2 Both parties agree to attempt mediation before court proceedings (see T&Cs section 29A). The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights in your home country.
