Purpose

Mystic Moods Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to operating with honesty, transparency, and respect for people, animals, and the planet. This Ethical Practices Disclaimer explains the limits of our sustainability statements and how we substantiate them.

1. Authenticity & Good-Faith Representation

All claims regarding sustainability, environmental impact, and circularity are made in good faith and reflect our genuine efforts to operate responsibly. Our statements are not marketing exaggerations but summaries of ongoing practices. However, we recognise that sustainability is a developing field and that complete control of external supply chains is not always possible.

2. Scope of Responsibility

We verify the origin of fabrics and materials to the extent practicable through supplier documentation and audits. Despite these controls, we cannot warrant absolute traceability or full certification for every third-party supplier, dye house, or logistics provider. All sustainability and ESG references therefore describe our current and aspirational standards, not legally binding guarantees.

3. Circularity & Resource Use

Our design model prioritises reuse, restoration, and remanufacture over linear consumption. We work primarily with existing, deadstock, remnant, and recycled materials. New materials are introduced only where functionally necessary, and always with consideration of lifecycle impact.

4. Environmental & Social Governance (ESG) Alignment

Mystic Moods Ltd follows the core principles of ESG:
• Environmental: responsible sourcing, small-batch production, and waste reduction.
• Social: fair pay, inclusion, and ethical partnerships.
• Governance: transparent reporting and compliance with UK law (Companies Act 2006, Modern Slavery Act 2015, UK GDPR).
We maintain an ESG Evidence Log detailing certifications, suppliers, and metrics supporting our sustainability statements.

5. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

This statement aligns with:
• CMA Green Claims Code (UK Competition & Markets Authority)
• Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines on environmental claims
• ISO 14021 (Self-declared environmental claims)
• UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
Mystic Moods Ltd does not imply official environmental certification unless specifically named.

6. Independent Verification

Where applicable, we seek third-party certifications or evidence (e.g., GOTS, OEKO-TEX®, FSC, or ISO standards). Any certification mentioned will include the issuing body and scope. Absence of a certification does not imply lack of environmental responsibility.

7. Limitations of Liability

While we take reasonable steps to substantiate our ethical and environmental claims, we cannot be held liable for supplier misstatements, unforeseen environmental impact, or changes in certification status. Our sustainability efforts represent our continuous improvement, not a guarantee of perfection.

8. Updates & Transparency

This disclaimer is reviewed annually as part of Mystic Moods Ltd’s due-diligence cycle. Any material change to our sustainability practices will be reflected here and logged in our ESG Evidence Register.
